Hayfever
Speak to your therapist about how we can help relieve or reduce hayfever symptoms as Spring approaches. From ear candle treatment, lymphatic drainage in a facial, hydrating eye treatment or pressure points within reflexology, we will do all we can to help relieve any symptoms you may have.

Within our reflexology treatment, we can approach the areas concerning hayfever and even give you some self help tips for Hand Reflexology to use at home.

Text Reminders
In addition to the email reminders we have now also set up SMS reminders to alert of your appointment for the following day. We hope this will reduce the number of no shows we face day to day and avoid the need for a deposit system.

Mask Update
We wish to reassure our visitors that our cleaning and hygiene standards will continue, because we have always worked with hygiene in mind even long before we knew what Covid-19 was. We have hand sanitiser stations positioned all around the salon for staff and visitors to use.
It is no longer a requirement that we, as an industry, wear a mask. When the rules were relaxed, we decided as a team that despite this, we as therapists would continue with the PPE, especially through the winter months.
After seeing case numbers drop and the rules relax further we have made a decision as a team to implement the following going forward:
- Your room will be ventilated and sanitised prior to your arrival, as before
- All visitors are welcome to wear a mask to their appointment if they feel safer doing so
- If you arrive with a mask, your therapist will offer to also wear a mask
- Your therapist will continue to wear a mask for close up facial work, for example a facial treatment or lash lift

New Treatment Menu Launch
As a team, we have been working hard behind the scenes to create brand new treatment protocols for 2022. Reasons for this include the introduction of new product brands, additional training throughout our lockdowns and time away, changes in demand and supplier price changes.
It has been so good to be allowed to be together after either months apart or on split shifts. We have really taken our time to bounce ideas, try new techniques and as a result create what we feel is the best menu for our wonderful clients.
We are very proud of what we have achieved and cannot wait to share with you.
Despite the ongoing difficulties, we are most proud that we have avoided implementing a price increase across our entire menu of services. That said, there will be a small but essential increase on a few of the services that we offer. This will start the week commencing 14th February.

The website has been updated with the new treatment menu and descriptions for you to browse. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

What About My Gift Voucher?
If you have a gift voucher for a specific treatment that you can no longer see on our menu, we will of course still honour the voucher for your original treatment. If, however, you would like to change it for one of our new services, you may also exchange to anything of the same value.

A Little Note To Say....
We have heard a lot of people are feeling a little deflated at the moment. Hearing stories about New Years Resolutions perhaps not going to plan, or struggling to stay on track. Feeling a little tired and run down. Looking forward to brighter days and warmer weather.

We just wanted to say, it's okay and you are definitely not alone. We don't need 1st January to make us review our lives and make new resolutions. We can pause, rest and reset at any time, any day of the year so please do not feel like you've failed or can ot achieve what you set out to do, if you have experienced a little set back.

Wishing all of our customers a very Happy New Year.
We are excited for the next chapter here at the salon and what next year could bring.
We have loved seeing you all throughout 2021, even if it did mean we spent the first third of the year locked down. The welcome back we received on 12th April was like nothing we could ever imagine and we are forever grateful for your support.

With threats of another lockdown in December, we are just so grateful we made it through Christmas and up to New Year still open!! Fingers crossed, we will see you early January 🤞🤞 We will be closing at 8.30pm this evening, then reopening on Tuesday 4th January.

Our Coronavirus Policies
We continue with our current policies and continue to wear a mask throughout your visit. We have never reduced our intense cleaning regime between treatments and pay attention to all guidelines for the safety of our staff and guests. Your safety is our priority.

We ask that if you are feeling unwell or are displaying any symptoms that you do not attend your appointment. Due to this, we are experiencing daily changes to our diaries and often have on-the-day cancellations. It is always worth calling if you would like a last minute appointment. We have had cancellations for this evening and the remainder of this week, available to book by calling 01245 471888.

Confirmation of December Hours
We will be working normal hours and then Christmas Hours as follows:
Christmas Eve - Open - 9am to 1pm - very limited availability
Closed 25th (Christmas Day) 26th (Boxing Day), 27th (Bank Holiday), 28th (Bank Holiday)
Open Wednesday 29th December 9.30am to 2.30pm, limited spaces
Open Thursday 30th December 9am to 8.30pm by prior appointment only

We do tend to find most years that appointments are made in advance for in between Christmas and New Year, we become fully booked but then receive an influx of messages Boxing Day onwards to cancel these appointments because they are no longer needed. We can't really blame you, it's a time for being with family. But with this in mind, and taking into consideration last years lockdowns, we are ensuring all staff can spend maximum times with their own families this year and work only a maximum of one shift in between. For this reason we ask, more than ever, that you please email if you need to cancel your 29th or 30th appointment during our Christmas closure, so we can fill your space.

Beauty Banks
Thank you for your generous donations to our Beauty Banks Bin. We are hoping to do another drop prior to Christmas and would be grateful for anything you could provide to help. All donations are distributed locally, as part of the Chelmsford Foodbank charity.

Just Pampered Rayleigh
You may have heard the recent announcement that Just Pampered Rayleigh is set to close permanently on Thursday 9th December. This is obviously a sad time for team members at Rayleigh and its visitors. However, we wish to reassure you that the Great Baddow salon is under no threat of closure and will continue as normal. They ran as two separate entities but if you know of anybody who has an outstanding gift voucher for Rayleigh, please encourage them to get in touch as soon as possible to discuss their options. Just Pampered Great Baddow will also happily honour the treatment voucher.

We continue to operate on an appointment only basis, so we can manage the number of people in the building at any given time and ensure someone is available to greet and assist you. This includes for patch testing and the collection of products or gift vouchers.

Preparing for the Colder Months at Just Pampered
As the days get colder we will be adding the heated blankets to the beds, which will feature in every treatment as standard. If you prefer not to have your bed heated, we can of course reduce the heat or switch it off for you, please just let us know.

We will be keeping the rooms nice and warm and have brand new fluffy blankets for the relaxing treatments, but we will continue to keep the room ventilated throughout the day as part of our hygiene protocol. If the noise of the outside bothers you or you feel a chill, we are happy to adjust this for you but will continue to ventilate the rooms fully between clients.

Beauty Banks
Thank you for your generous donations to our Beauty Banks Bin, it has enabled us to make two large donations throughout September and we will continue to donate through the coming months. We are looking for Shower Gels, Deodorants, Toothpastes and Toothbrushes, Baby Toiletries, Nappies and more to donate to the local food banks. These items will be distributed to those in need in the local community. Our Beauty Banks box is at the bottom of the stairs and donations are very much appreciated at any time.

Spa Find - If you currently enjoy our treatments featuring Spa Find Products, they are here to stay. Spa Find offer a mineral based, relaxing, aromatherapy experience completely separate to the Medik8 offerings and is perfect for the body experience treatments or as a pampering facial.

Agera - Unfortunately after very long supply difficulties with the Agera brand, we had to make the decision to part ways as our main skincare brand at the salon. Agera have since withdrawn many products from UK supply and we continue to work with a couple of our favourite Hero products, for as long as they available to us. We currently have in stock:

-Microderma Exfoliation Kit

Vitage - We were very sad to learn that our longest standing skincare range, since we opened in 2007, has been discontinued as a result of Covid-19. It was a beautiful range and we were so sad to see it go, which is why we have spent so long trying to find a good enough replacement. We have found in Medik8 everything we loved about Vitage and more.

Mental Health Matters - Autumn Self Care
As the nights draw in and the evenings are getting colder, you may find your social circle becomes less, well, social. It's a really important time to nurture your body and mind to keep it healthy, combat loneliness and reduce the experience of seasonal affective disorder through a regular self care routine. If you find yourself almost hibernating throughout the cold evenings, why not try some of the following ideas:
- Bubble Bath (or if you don't have a bath a warm foot soak) - warming, relaxing and luxurious, while treating your skin at the same time. Follow up with a rich body butter.

Sending lots of well wishes to all of our lovely clients and we hope you have enjoyed your summer. We have heard a lot of talk lately about September feeling like a fresh start, a mini new year, to reset and make new plans and goals for the remainder of 2021. Here at Just Pampered, we feel this whole-heartedly. It does feel a little as though we have navigated our way through re-opening and all of the steps towards easing restrictions, then flown through the Summer and now we are ready to prepare for Autumn.

New Skincare Launch
If you have been into the salon recently, you may have heard we have been researching a new skincare brand to bring to Just Pampered. The research has been ongoing for the last year because we don't take these decisions lightly. We're almost ready to launch and we just know you will love the new facials and products as much as we do. More information coming soon, but if you'd like a sneak peek, just mention during your next appointment.

Restrictions Update
We know as restrictions have lifted, many businesses and establishments have created their own guidance and we appreciate this can be a little confusing.

To summarise, we are able to offer all treatments and continue to operate in a covid-safe environment. The safety of our staff and guests remains a complete priority for us. Our staff continue to wear a face covering or shield and we encourage guests to do the same, particularly within our communal areas. Our additional cleaning and hygiene procedures will remain in place.

Beauty Banks
We continue to collect toiletries and sanitary products for Beauty Banks, to pass on to Chelmsford Food Banks. All of our donations are distributed to local families and individuals in need. Our collection box is located at our entrance, at the bottom of the stairs. If you are able to make a contribution by way of shower gels, hand wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorants, nappies, baby wipes and other sealed and unused items, we would be extremely grateful. You can drop off anonymously at any point during our opening hours, or bring along to your next appointment.

We have received guidelines about the lifting of restrictions and in particular the rules around wearing masks.

After careful consideration of the safety of both our guests and our team members, Just Pampered has decided to continue with our mask policy within the treatment rooms.

From Monday 19th July our revised policy is as follows:
😷 All therapists will continue to wear PPE within the treatment rooms, in the form of a mask for all facial work and either a mask or shield for foot and body work
😷 Clients will be encouraged to continue as they have been whilst visiting our premises, ie wearing mask to enter and exit the premises and removing only for treatment affecting the facial area (face, ears etc)
😷 Our additional cleaning and hygiene procedures will continue exactly the same
😷 Therapists will not be expected to wear masks/shields during planned breaks, taking phone calls and setting up empty treatment rooms, so please be understanding if you see a therapist in the building without their mask
😷 Windows will remain open for ventilation
😷 We will assess this again when cases begin to fall
