Sending lots of well wishes to all of our lovely clients and we hope you have enjoyed your summer. We have heard a lot of talk lately about September feeling like a fresh start, a mini new year, to reset and make new plans and goals for the remainder of 2021. Here at Just Pampered, we feel this whole-heartedly. It does feel a little as though we have navigated our way through re-opening and all of the steps towards easing restrictions, then flown through the Summer and now we are ready to prepare for Autumn.
New Skincare Launch
If you have been into the salon recently, you may have heard we have been researching a new skincare brand to bring to Just Pampered. The research has been ongoing for the last year because we don't take these decisions lightly. We're almost ready to launch and we just know you will love the new facials and products as much as we do. More information coming soon, but if you'd like a sneak peek, just mention during your next appointment.
We know as restrictions have lifted, many businesses and establishments have created their own guidance and we appreciate this can be a little confusing.
To summarise, we are able to offer all treatments and continue to operate in a covid-safe environment. The safety of our staff and guests remains a complete priority for us. Our staff continue to wear a face covering or shield and we encourage guests to do the same, particularly within our communal areas. Our additional cleaning and hygiene procedures will remain in place.
We continue to collect toiletries and sanitary products for Beauty Banks, to pass on to Chelmsford Food Banks. All of our donations are distributed to local families and individuals in need. Our collection box is located at our entrance, at the bottom of the stairs. If you are able to make a contribution by way of shower gels, hand wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorants, nappies, baby wipes and other sealed and unused items, we would be extremely grateful. You can drop off anonymously at any point during our opening hours, or bring along to your next appointment.
We continue to operate on an appointment only basis, so we can manage the number of people in the building at any given time. This includes for patch testing and the collection of products or gift vouchers.
That said, we do still have some availability heading towards this weekend and beyond. We look forward to seeing you soon.
We have received guidelines about the lifting of restrictions and in particular the rules around wearing masks.
After careful consideration of the safety of both our guests and our team members, Just Pampered has decided to continue with our mask policy within the treatment rooms.
From Monday 19th July our revised policy is as follows:
😷 All therapists will continue to wear PPE within the treatment rooms, in the form of a mask for all facial work and either a mask or shield for foot and body work
😷 Clients will be encouraged to continue as they have been whilst visiting our premises, ie wearing mask to enter and exit the premises and removing only for treatment affecting the facial area (face, ears etc)
😷 Our additional cleaning and hygiene procedures will continue exactly the same
😷 Therapists will not be expected to wear masks/shields during planned breaks, taking phone calls and setting up empty treatment rooms, so please be understanding if you see a therapist in the building without their mask
😷 Windows will remain open for ventilation
😷 We will assess this again when cases begin to fall

Now we have taken a moment to pause and reflect on the last few weeks, I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made re-opening possible.
To the team for all their hard work and dedication. To everyone involved in the decorating, cleaning and general preparations. To our wonderful clients, who have reminded us exactly why we do our job in the first place. We are so happy to be back here and incredibly lucky to have started off so busy and with so much support from you.
It is true we didn't quite know how the first few weeks would pan out, how busy we would be and how capacity and new regulations would allow us to work safely. We needn't have worried, because between us we filled every space available and pulled together to do extra shifts, to ensure everyone who wanted an appointment was able to get one. It has been one of the busiest times we have ever had here and the mood has felt so bright, similar to the lead up to Christmas time.
The last few weeks would have been perfect, if not for the amount of 'No Shows' we experienced. (By this, please do not think we mean those who were unwell or discovered they had to isolate and called to let us know at short notice. We are talking about having therapists set up and ready, pacing the landing and nobody turning up, with our call of concern going unanswered too).
No Shows are an unfortunate part of any service industry and we know occasionally genuine mistakes can happen, but I have seen messages from pubs and restaurants mentioning the same and it is heartbreaking to see after all these months of closure, for not just our business but every service provider.
Please, if you discover you are unable to make your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. We are very understanding of the strange circumstances we are all facing and know sometimes it just can't be helped.
We apologise if the initial times you were hoping to book were not available for your first visit following lockdown. The appointments are now spreading out across the weeks, because the frequency of visits varies from treatment to treatment. Looking ahead in the diary, we are now far more flexible to suit your needs and we look forward to seeing you soon.
On behalf of the whole Just Pampered Team, I would like to wish Lauren a very happy maternity leave as she prepares for the arrival of baby girl. Lauren returned after lockdown but has now left to enjoy some time before the new arrival. Due to lockdown, she knows some of you hadn't had chance to hear her news and wishes there had been more time to catch up with everyone.
If you usually see Lauren and were not able to get in over the last few weeks, we'd be happy to recommend an alternative therapist to best suit your needs.
At this time, please note all visits (including for products, vouchers and patch tests) are by appointment only, so we can maintain social distancing throughout and ensure a member of the team is available.

All of our Gift Vouchers have been extended, so if you have received a voucher that would have expired or you gifted a voucher that you know your loved one hasn't been able to use, please don't worry. The new extension dates are below but feel free to contact us if there is an issue with these dates.

Dated January 2020 to September 2020 - Valid until 31st July 2021
Dated October 2020 until April 2021 - An additional six months will be added to the expiry date

We are hoping to open on Monday 12th April, in line with the Government Step programme out of lockdown. We feature in Step Two as a Personal Care Service and are aware this date is subject to change nearer the time.
We have a priority list of all those who were cancelled for this lockdown, during December or January. We have taken this time since the announcement to decide on the best course of action. We have decided to open the diary, filling first the priority bookings and then open to all, but only open the diary for the first two weeks following Monday 12th April.
We thought about not taking any bookings until nearer the time but are very aware nobody has been able to plan anything in their diaries so far this year and our emails and texts suggest you are keen to get booked in for something to look forward to. We have to admit, booking last minute with a days notice is all a bit of a rush and we, too, would prefer to be organised. However, we are also aware that the date could be pushed back and we would hate to have to cancel clients week commencing 12th and then not be able to get them in for a few weeks because our diary has been fully open and booked up.
Hence, the solution for the two week diary. If the dates are pushed back, your appointments can be pushed back with a guarantee there is space. If you do not wish to book straight away, we will still keep a priority call list for 26th April and beyond and will open this as soon as we have the definite go ahead for the 12th. We hope you can understand our logic, we just want to make it fair for everyone.

Hello and Happy New Year to all of our lovely clients.
As you are likely aware, we haven't returned today as originally planned, but we are becoming quite good at having a plan and then another plan, for when the original plan doesn't go to plan :)
The main thing is to keep everybody safe and as healthy as can be. If you are feeling lonely or struggling with self care, please know you can reach out to us and we'd be happy to speak to you or send some positivity.
We remain closed under Tier 4 restrictions and currently do not have a review date. We know that the next review date for schools is currently 18th January. We are under no illusion that we will be reviewed or allowed to return ahead of the schools, obviously education takes a priority. Therefore, we have decided to take out all bookings for the whole of January and understand it could reach beyond this.
If you had an appointment today and over the next couple of days, we have already made contact. If you have an appointment 7th January onwards we will be in touch early this coming week.
